Second Harvest holiday food drive yields 2.7 million pounds of food; awards dinner set for March 7

SANTA CRUZ - Nearly 3 million pounds of food and cash equivalent were collected during the 2011 holiday food drive hosted by the Second Harvest Food Bank, topping its goal and serving as a "wonderful example of just how dedicated our community is to providing healthy food to hungry people," the organization announced Thursday....
