Resolved Question: i've been picked for jury duty?

my date is next monday; meaning this friday i can call and see if i actually have to come serve. what are the chances i will actually have to show up on the 23rd? AND if i do show up, what are the chances that i will be placed on a jury? any one willing to share experiences? i really don't want to serve, but i'm not willing to lie either. i just want to know if i'm anxious over nothing? by the way, i live in Santa Cruz, CA....
