I have 3 weeks left to apply to either a State or UC but the problem is I don't know where to apply! I live in the Bay Area in CA. I don't know what to major in and it's really hard to decide because I have no interest in anything. Anything related to the medical or Business field I have no desire in. I hate math and am a bit squeamish. My only interests are in world and cultural history (mainly european history) and learning languages, especially french, which i am trying to become fluent in. My only desire in life is to travel but that requires tons of money in order to do so. I'm not becoming a flight attendant! I can't think of any majors involving those except teaching but I have no desire to teach. ANOTHER MAJOR QUESTION What is the difference between UC schools and State schools? All i know is that one is more expensive and harder to get into but why would anyone want to go to a school that costs more and is harder to get in when they can go to a state school with their major and save money and save time getting in. So basically I don't know where to go. I was thinking of San Francisco state because i really love SF and think it would be so cool to live there and the school seems okay but I think its kind of scary to move out on my own at only 17! ....unless I want to commute 2 hours every morning. I was thinking of UC santa cruz too because I love santa cruz and heard that UCSC was a really good school too. I know I shouldn't apply just because I like the city, but I don't know where to go! help! I'm in sooo much stress!
