Open Question: How is Virgin Mobile's phone service in Santa Cruz, CA?

I had a Samsung Slash with Virgin Mobile over a year ago, then I switched to At&t because service was bad. I live on the UCSC campus in Santa Cruz, CA. However, At&t is too expensive (I'm on a 2-year contract on a family plan w/ 2 lines), and I can't seem to do anything but call. It's too expensive to add text and data. I want to switch back to Virgin Mobile, and get on their Beyond Talk Plan. I'm thinking of getting the LG Rumor Touch. Does anyone know how the Virgin Mobile service in Santa Cruz is, especially on the UCSC campus? I'm in FSH, closer to College 8. On their coverage map it says I have the best service, should have 4-5 bars, but I want to make sure before ending with AT&T. If you have bad service with Virgin Mobile, do their coverage map also says you should be getting the best service??... Read More »
